Directed by IESR’s Dean Shuaizhang Feng, the Center for Labor Economics engages in academic and policy-related research on labor markets, migration, human capital investment in early life, and other topics. The Center collaborates with the Center for the Economics of Human Development (CEHD) at the University of Chicago, with Professor James Heckman serving as the leading expert. The Center has also established with CEHD the Chicago-Jinan Joint Initiative on the Study of Human Development, co-directed by Shuaizhang Feng and James Heckman.
